Planting daffodils in a lawn or meadow is simple, Planting daffodils in a lawn or meadow is simple, but a few details make all the difference.

Avoid spraying lawn chemicals anywhere they’re planted—those can damage the bulbs over time.

When daffodils are growing in turf, they’re competing directly with grass roots, so giving them a little extra fertilizer helps. A bulb fertilizer with higher phosphorus supports strong root and flower development, especially in lawn settings.

Small, but important adjustments make all the difference in how well they naturalize year after year.
